French

This French course develops Haley from CEFR A1 towards A2 through practical communication and regular teacher-led conversation. He will learn to introduce himself, discuss his family, school, hobbies, daily routine, food, health, travel, holidays and future plans.

Grammar includes present-tense verbs, être, avoir, negatives, questions, adjective agreement, modal verbs, the near future and an introduction to the perfect tense. Haley will also develop vocabulary, pronunciation and confidence when responding spontaneously.

Lessons practise listening, speaking, reading and writing. Activities include conversations, role-play, pronunciation practice, short authentic texts, vocabulary quizzes and structured writing.

By the end of the course, Haley should be able to understand everyday French, hold a short conversation, describe past experiences and future plans, and produce an organised passage of approximately 80–120 words.
